The new EV charging point at Easthope car park was up and running before the restrictions were in place, but before the final part of the process could be completed. With non-essential works suspended for the moment, the EV point now has a temporary sticker with instructions on how to pay through a mobile app called ClenergyEV. Cost is 30p per unit. The cables are retractable but still a bit stiff.
You can either use the ClenergyEV app or a RFID card. And you can get another card such as a Polar Plus to work as a Clenergy card by registering it. You do still have to have a Clenergy account so it’s not much of a benefit unless you are particularly keen on a slim wallet …
Obviously as soon as they can, Shropshire council will have the SC branded signage up with full instructions on and the lining completed.

Good to see another chargepoint in Church Stretton, but at that price I won't ever use it, unless circumstances are extreme!
