Well done Stretton Town Council for signing up to 10:10 and pledging to reduce its carbon emissions by 10% by the end of 2010. Of course, the pledge is the easy bit; now you’ve got to DO it! But we at Stretton Climate Care will give them whatever help we can.

Congratulations to our Town Councillors who have taken this public pledge to strive to reduce the Carbon Emissions of the Town Council by 10%. It will be ineteresting to follow their progress. Readers might like to know our M.P. Philip Dunne has also signed up, along with many of his parliamentary collegues and individual members of Stretton Climate Care.
The 10:10 campaign will soon make available an tag (badge)which can be bought locally for people to wear as a public acknowledgement of their effort to reduce their personal carbon emissions. It will be good to recognise others who have signed the "pledge". One tag bought in London has already been spotted in the town.
Our local carbon reduction team could do with some more volunteers to train up to help with this vitally important work for we need to begin to revisit some of our early clients to re-calculate their carbon emissions. Until you know where you are on your carbon journey, it's hard to know where where you are going and how far you still have to go. Have you had a visit from one of our "carbon busters"? If not why not get in touch (contact detalis at the top of the home page) and ask for a home visit. We can save you money as well as help you reduce your carbon footprint.
Stretton Climate Care have of course been helping "locals" in their carbon reduction journey for the past 20 months and some individuals have already made great progress. BUT we can do more with a few more volunteers.Even if you can only spare an hour or so a week you will be helping to make our beautiful but threatened world a better place for future generations.
